Below you will be able to see a few of my biggest accomplishments thus far. Each artifact holds a special place in my heart and has helped me grow and mature as a student and a person.
Premed Trip to the DR
Premed Student
On this trip, I traveled to La Romana, Dominican Republic, and did a two-week stay interning at a teaching hospital. There I learned a lot about the culture of the Dominican Republic as well as how medicine differs from the United States. It helped me understand what life is like in a country that doesn't have the resources that we may have here and has made me very grateful for the things that I have here. Biomedical Research Project
Lead Researcher
During my senior year of high school, I did a biomedical research project looking to see if there were antibiotic-resistant bacteria present in wastewater effluent. This project gave me experience on what a real scientist would look at to help find issues in our community and how to fix them. This gave me a good look at what medicine and science are all about and really drove me to become a better student and someone who wants to help better the world. Sigma Pi Fraternity International
Alpha-Sigma Chapter
During the Spring Semester of my Freshman Year at the University of Arkansas I joined Sigma Pi Fraternity International. At this time in the fraternity I serve on 6 different committees, making me one of the most active members. I serve on the following committees; recruitment, new member education, wellness, philanthropy, greek relations, and intramurals.
